The SA Jubilee 150 Measured Drawings Competition was open to all interested parties. The primary objective of the competition was to ensure that an archival record of South Australia's built heritage could be established.
There were five sections, Open Category, Item on the State Heritage List, Student Entry, Fixed Item, Moveable Item. Sponsors were the Jubilee 150 Board, Peter Rosenweig Consultants Pty Ltd, Dare, Sutton Clarke Pty Ltd, and Hooper, Kohler, Birdsey Architects. Prizes of $3,000 (Open Category), and $500 (each for all the others) were awarded to winners of the categories.
An exhibition of entries was held at the Gallery of the Flinders Art Museum and these exhibitions were bought after recommendation by Donald Leslie Johnson from the organising committee of the R.A.I.A. and housed in the Flinders University Architectural Archives collection.
