The Forum Club Collection
DescriptionContains a single series of material created by The Forum Club, a collective of Adelaide architects, engineers and students formed in 1929 when the Depression meant that there was not enough work to keep them fully employed. Includes presentation drawings of design problems with various graphic and architectural subjects. The Club set design exercises which were to be completed within a set time frame, usually 1 to 2 hours. The drawings produced range from pencil only renderings to pen and wash and elaborate watercolours. The subject matter for the design problems range from magazine covers to libraries, and memorial tablets to fountains.
